Guess that ink brand: Yes, I enjoy their products and particularly their Black works well on non-fountain pen friendly papers. The irony is that Noodler’s will often smudge on coated fountain pen friendly papers and bleed through non-fountain pen friendly papers making it only good for fine and extra fine nibs; go any broader and your mileage will vary.

  • Ink: Noodler’s Brown
  • Paper: Nolty Diary Paper A5 notebook, Limex (Limestone paper blend)
  • Pen: Twsbi Eco <B> Note: The nib is the compatible between the Eco and Go.

I had a sample of 3Oysters Forest Green ink, and it would not dry on any paper, #FountainPen friendly or not. I could not use it.

@backtoanalog I love forest green, aside from the smudging what did you think of the color?

In my case it’s actually the pigment that smudges off.

I liked it. The color definitely looked like tree leaves deep in a forest in spring/summer.

Coated does not necessarily equal fountain pen friendly. Paper needs sizing to prevent feathering but that can cause non-absorbtion of inks. Noodlers’ bulletproof inks are cellulose reactive and they don’t set up properly if there is no accessible cellulose.
Also if you are using Limex you probably need to monitor your nibs for wear. Fine limestone is used as an abrasive in some specialise areas.
