WordPress 6.1 was released last week. I’ve migrated a few personal sites to my Child Theme based on Twenty Twenty-Three and made some minor tweaks. This is quite possibly the first time I’ve hit 99-100% across all metrics. The new Full Site Editor pulls in resources for only the blocks in use which reduces page weight and time to interactive delays.

Reading up on JSON this afternoon. With the move to WordPress blocks and full site editing. Today is a good time to fill in my history of this syntax. One interesting item of note is that it can be read asynchronously and less likely to be render blocking.
