Spent a good amount of time tweaking social media accounts, and my About Me page. All part of my ongoing goal to gain a slight SEO boost for my name. There’s a lot of talk on social media about “account verification.” However, nothing beats actually owning my name as a domain and putting in regular work. For slightly more than the cost of Twitter Blue I can host this website.

The last few weeks I’ve moved up to the first page on most search engines right behind historical, political, and public officials. The goal is to make it easier for potential clients and employers to find me in search results. As you can see Yandex and Duck Duck Go seem to value updates over context. Google and Bing tend to weigh that against the likelihood I’m the Joe they’re looking for.

Rereading Leviathan Wakes and came across one of my favorite conversations between Miller and Holden in Chapter 35 leading to this quote.

No, I mean it. A lot of people claim to believe in things. Family is most important, but theyll screw a fifty-dollar hooker on payday. Country first, but they cheat on their taxes. Not you, though. You say everyone should know everything, and by God, you put your money where your mouth is.
