Star Trek Discovery Season One was so under appreciated, particularly the pilot episode. Well, the entire series is now available on Blu-ray so I don’t have to worry about Paramount+ deleting it from their lowsy streaming service.
I still get goosebumps and choked up when I hear the theme song.
Arguably the digital sketch is better of the two but it also took five times longer and involved a great deal of tapping and pallet selection. A huge benefit of the iPad using Adobe Fresco is displaying the image directly under my artwork allowing me to trace the lines and shadows. The results were far better than I anticipated.
Meanwhile the paper sketch was just paper, pencil, pen and my phone where I displayed the reference image.
The paper sketch isn’t great, proportions are way off, but it took maybe five minutes and almost captured the mood. Had I taken more time with the pencil I have no doubt it would eventually look better than the version sketched in Adobe Fresco. Plus it was a lot more relaxing to work on paper than a digital display.
It will not help you commit a felony, and will not allow further questions unless you start a new topic. Perhaps I should ask it in a more “creative way.”
